Quality Inn Fishers - Indianapolis

When I checked in, I found a broken toilet, a badly stained bathtub, rust inside the fridge and freezer, damaged carpet that had come loose, and stained walls throughout the room. I reported everything to the front desk, but they said there were no other rooms because of high occupancy during Big Ten Championship weekend. Nothing was done to fix the problems. At checkout, a staff member said they knew about the room’s condition and that several guests had already complained about the same room. The renovations they mentioned were in the lobby, not the guest rooms. This goes beyond appearances. The conditions raise health and safety concerns, and the property should be inspected. The General Manager, Andy, showed no professionalism or competence in dealing with these issues. His position was that no action was needed because I stayed in the room overnight, which I find legally and ethically indefensible. The photos alone show that the accommodations weren’t safe, sanitary, or fit to stay in. I’ll be filing formal complaints with the State of Indiana and the Better Business Bureau. That’s my intention, not a threat. It’s deeply concerning that Hotels.com still lists this establishment despite the many complaints and its failure to meet basic standards for a habitable room. This matter is now formally documented.

The whole stay was a bad experience, and I wish I could forget it. I was there to visit my cousin and hadn’t booked the room myself, so I couldn’t just use extra cash to go somewhere else. The bathroom floor design has shells coming down from it. The ice machine on the second floor smelled like something had died in it, and I wouldn’t trust anything in the refrigerator. The shelf above it was starting to rust, too. On top of that, the side door by the remodeling area didn’t lock, so anyone could get into the hotel.

The room was clean and up to date, and parking was great even with the renovations going on. The first-floor carpet needed vacuuming, but everything else was good. The contractors were great, too. I’ll definitely be back!

I found fecal spots and bedbug shells in the room curtain. The person on duty was rude and didn’t apologize. When I asked for a refund, he said he didn’t have the clearance to issue one and told me to call back. Update: I called again today and was told they can’t refund me until their “pest control” company verifies there are bedbugs in the room. Now I have to call back again, unless they call me first. 🫠 Do not stay here. The rooms have bedbugs.
