The beds were comfortable, but that was about it. We found trash under them, and the comforters clearly aren't washed. The front desk clerk was hard to locate most of the time and seemed annoyed. Total dump. Stay somewhere else.

The gentleman at registration was kind and showed me three rooms. I thought I'd picked the cleanest, but after half an hour I left because of its condition. The photos might have matched the place five years ago, but the building and rooms now look nothing like them. I've stayed in eight other hotels and motels over the past two weeks, and this was by far the filthiest. I like old motels, and some are beautifully kept inside and out, but I'd avoid Countryside.
We live on Long Island and came to visit my fiancé’s hometown, Peekskill, where he grew up. After a couple of other hotels and motels with rude or sketchy staff, we were glad to find this place. Everyone here was really nice. Our room was clean, with clean sheets and a clean restroom, and it had a microwave and small refrigerator. We don't have kids or pets, and we'd definitely stay here again.
We loved the quiet, and everyone mostly keeps to themselves. There's also a big side yard where our son could play football. The front desk is always helpful, and they even spoke to my child, which I appreciated. The people are great, the rooms are clean, nice and cozy, and the fridge, microwave, and good number of TV channels were a plus. Why pay more when this place has what you need? We'll be back. Not sure what the bad comments are about, we really enjoyed it.
It's easy to get to, with restaurants and gas stations nearby, but there's a reason rooms are available. Bring your own cleaning supplies if you want the bathroom, dresser, headboard, table, and other surfaces clean, and bring your own sheets too. The window unit was dusty and moldy, and the only usable outlet was in the bathroom. Staff told us rooms aren't cleaned on weekends. You get a key for the door handle lock, not the deadbolt. Depending on what you need and your standards, it might work for you. For me, this overpriced motel was bad enough that I'd rather pitch a tent and sleep on the ground than return.
