Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Madison Southwest, WI

The rides with Epic went smoothly and were on time, from drop-off through pick-up. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They were renovating, but we didn't hear any noise or have any hassle. I had a really good stay at Country Inn & Suites and would happily come back.

The shuttle made my Epic training week so easy. I got to class early every day, was brought back promptly, and still had time to enjoy my evenings. They also picked me up from and dropped me off at the airport. The woman driving the shuttle was wonderful, and I'm pretty sure “Dad” at the front desk has unofficially adopted me. He gave me a hard time and took it right back, which made the hotel feel like home. I felt cared for here in a way you don't always get when traveling. My room was tidy each day, breakfast was fresh every morning, and the staff answered all my questions patiently and kindly. I even got to have real conversations with them. This place is run by a family who truly cares about the people who come through the door. I'd absolutely stay again.

People in our group were turned away when they arrived because there were no rooms left, even though they'd reserved in advance. We also had no housekeeping for our three-night stay, so the garbage wasn't emptied and toilet paper wasn't restocked. The first floor had water damage, yet guests were still put in the construction area, and there were bugs in the hallway light fixtures. Mouse droppings sat on the counter by the cereal in the breakfast area. The hot tub and splash pad weren't working when we arrived, and no one had warned us ahead of time. A very poor experience overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly and made check-in and checkout easy. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the motel is handy for nearby restaurants and stores. I had a pleasant stay and thought it was good value for the price. I'd consider coming back.
