The proprietor asked about allergies when I booked so they could make a breakfast I could eat. When I mentioned I was looking forward to the jetted tub, she left Epsom salts beside it and offered me a mud mask. The bed was very comfortable, and the living room has a big fireplace. This is a wonderful B&B, beautifully decorated. Highly recommend Howarth House.

We picked Fitchburg because it was close to the area where my 17th-century ancestors settled. It's also a handy stop after visiting Boston and Lexington-Concord, before heading to western MA, VT, or CT. The hosts welcomed us warmly to this modernized 1810 mansion on a hill overlooking Fitchburg. The period furnishings and decor were amazing, and they served a tasty breakfast. We enjoyed talking with them about the area. The bathroom had the best shower ever and a large jetted tub, unusual for a B&B.

Sarah and Ryan were delightful and hospitable, breakfast was lovely, and the room was really comfortable. Winnie was the sweetest, silliest doggo, too. What a lovely find for our single night in almost-here-be-dragons Massachusetts. Highly recommended!

The hosts are warm and charming, and there are lovely places to sit outside, including a firepit, pool, and hot tub. Howarth House is a beautiful old historic home with lovely art and antiques. It's a New England gem, with gorgeous landscaping and old-growth trees in the yard.

Breakfast had great options, and the property and rooms were well kept. Such a wonderful stay, thanks to Sarah and Ryan, who made the experience even better. I'd love to come back sometime.
