The air conditioning worked wonderfully, and the young man and woman at the front desk were friendly. Beyond that, the hotel needs a lot of work. My first room smelled bad and had no closet. In the second, I was bitten by bed bugs, so I didn’t sleep peacefully after that. They moved me again and treated the room with alcohol, but carpets and curtains need professional cleaning after bed bugs. I think they need a professional exterminator. The curtains were stained, although the sheets and towels were generally clean. The floors were dirty, and I seriously doubt the carpets are ever vacuumed or shampooed. The refrigerator was old and damaged but still worked. The microwave was also old and damaged, though I didn’t use it or even look inside. There were ice buckets, but the machine was broken, so we had to buy ice. The lampshades were old, cracked, or stained. There was mold under one of the room’s air conditioners, and the place needs paint and the showers redone. The shower got warm, but never hot. Someone else in our group chose this hotel. I didn’t check the reviews because of their idea of comfort, and I was shocked to find the same complaints had been posted for years. What a shame. The place has potential, but someone would have to care enough to invest in it and bring it up to that potential.

The staff and service made sure our stay was to our liking, and the room was comfortable and clean. I’ve had plenty of other good experiences like this one. I had a great stay and would recommend it.

Roaches, awful smells, peeling paint in the shower and on the floor, and a terrible bathroom. The beds creak and are old. This was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. It used to be a very nice hotel under the previous management, but the new management isn’t putting money into it. I planned to stay four nights and left first thing in the morning. Don’t come here.

The front desk person was helpful, but there was a smell as soon as we arrived, and it was still in the room. We’d reserved two queen beds but got two full-size ones instead. The TV looked like it was from the 90s, the ice machine didn’t work, and there was only one usable outlet in the room. The shower floor was cracked, with a bath mat covering a hole, and there was mold around the door. When I went to plug in my phone, I saw cockroaches running under the bed. We were in town for business.
