As someone who travels for business often and has stayed in many high-quality hotels, I was struck by Emma's service. She made check-in smooth and efficient, and I haven't had another hotel experience that matched the level of care she showed. Exceptional customer service.

My sisters and I stayed December 25-29. The staff was good, but the hotel itself had a string of problems. We couldn't hang our clothes until maintenance fixed the closet rack. The refrigerator stopped working and melted our ice cream. The desk staff let my daughter take an ice cream from their mini store, and the next day they replaced the fridge. The microwave also had some kind of electrical issue and switched on throughout the night. Worst of all, we were bitten by bedbugs on our arms, neck, and chest. On Saturday night we were moved to another room on the same floor. We checked out Sunday night, and I've tried contacting the manager with no reply. I left a note and called several times with my name and phone number.

Apparently someone who pays for two nights owes one security deposit, but if you pay for one night and add another the next morning, you owe two. That doesn't seem right. I've got $300 in deposits tied up in this empty hotel, which lost all its business for this reason. At this point, I feel like I shouldn't even breathe in the room. Maybe I should just leave so I don't get blamed for anything.

At 1am, I was denied a room because my driver's license had an old address within 30 miles of the hotel. My license isn't expired, and I had documents showing I had worked and lived in another state for the past two years, but that didn't change the decision. I hadn't even had the chance to see the room or the bugs other reviews mention. The clerk told me to contact Priceline, the app I used to book my hotel and flight, to start getting a refund. Priceline called the hotel for me, but the clerk wouldn't give her name, just as she had refused service. After more discussion, Priceline was able to refund me, though it would take 24 hours to process. The clerk didn't spit in my face or do anything heinous, but the 30 MILE RADIUS POLICY seems to be passed along by word of mouth. It's not stated directly anywhere except Google Reviews. Read other reviews for yourself, too. If you're a South Carolina resident, you may be turned away just for that reason. I had nowhere else to go so late at night, and I think you deserve better.
