Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Wautoma

We got there in the middle of the night during a major snowstorm, and the staff did everything they could to get us settled quickly. They were amazing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nice.

Jamie is the reason I'd consider staying again. I meant to stay only a short time, but Jamie was so attentive and hospitable that I extended my visit. Keith also made me feel welcome when he checked me in. The rooms were very clean and stocked well. I left because of Rosa, I believe that was her name. She wasn't at the desk when I needed her, and when I finally saw her, it seemed like she was trying to hide. I felt nervous and suspicious about her behavior. The other time I saw her, she was clearly speaking badly about coworkers. I don't understand how someone like that keeps a service job. Jamie made me want to stay, but Rosa made me leave. If you come, make sure Jamie is working. Rosa won't help you. I'll only return if someone besides Rosa is at the front desk.

Chalye made the whole stay easy and pleasant. They were kind, warm, funny, and gave us great service from check-in through checkout. We had forgotten a razor, and Chayle got one for us without any trouble. Thanks! The room smelled musty, possibly because of last month's heavy rain. We understand renovations are coming soon and look forward to seeing them. We'll be back next summer.

The pool itself was really nice, but the hot tub was only room temperature. My shower was hotter. Breakfast had no eggs, the beds were large but rock hard, and I expected to wake up with a sore back. The heating and air unit made an obnoxious noise every time it shut off. The TV was the smallest I've ever seen, too. When we arrived in room 207, the door wouldn't lock at all. They eventually fixed it, but it took up our time instead of just moving us to another room. I wanted a comfortable night away, but home was much more comfortable, and getting away from home was the whole point. I'm very disappointed. One bright spot was the morning desk attendant. I can't remember her name, but she was African American, with short, dyed blonde hair. She was amazing with customers, so kind, quick to help, and genuinely nice. She deserves a personal review for how well she treated us.
