Island Cottage Oceanfront Inn & Spa

What made our stay stick with me most was Kathy and Tim. They were warm from the moment we arrived, attentive without making a fuss, and even little touches like fresh flowers showed how much they care. The grounds are lovely and carefully kept, with fountains, a quiet zen garden, a clubhouse, and a clear pool. Our suite was spotless, with fresh linens, great pillows, and everything we needed. We loved the peaceful setting, the private white sand beach right on the ocean, and the homemade banana bread at breakfast each morning. A beautiful, serene place, and the people made it unforgettable.

That banana bread really is something. It came warm and fresh, and breakfast had different homemade options each day, including fruit parfait and hash brown casserole. Staff made us feel looked after from arrival: they showed us around, explained the room, offered to carry our bags, and were cheerful in the mornings with coffee and mimosas. There are plenty of outdoor seats, shaded spots, and beach chairs and umbrellas to use. The pool was clean, and the ocean is just across A-1-A, with what felt like a private beach. A-1-A is a few steps away from the inn, and it's an easy walk to local restaurants, while still far enough from the center of Flagler Beach to feel peaceful. The rooms were clean, bright, organized, and accessible. I've traveled for decades and stayed in plenty of places, but this was the best experience I've had. The staff were genuinely kind and professional. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The beach across the road was wide, flat, and nearly empty, and crossing was easy since traffic on A1A moves slowly here. We stayed in room one for a night. It's spacious and nicely decorated, with a partial ocean view. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

We slept incredibly well in the comfy king bed, and the whole Inn, especially our room, was spotless. Kathy and Tim welcomed us like VIPs, helped with our bags, and showed us to a charming room. The waves are so close you can hear them from the door, and after dinner we took the Inn's private walkway a few steps out to look at the stars reflecting on the water. Kathy's banana bread is hard to stop eating, and the cafe is a fun spot. This sweet beachside place feels like a home away from home, and Flagler Beach is a cute town too. We'll come back when we're in the area.
