Motel 6 Flagstaff, AZ - West - Woodland Village

The room was clean and came with a microwave, fridge, iron, and ironing board. We had to search for outlets, though, and the only one by the bed was uncovered and hidden behind the nightstand. The fridge was off center and leaked water onto the floor. The two bed room was the smallest I've ever seen, and I-40 brought steady highway noise, though it wasn't extremely loud. We needed an ADA room and had mentioned that when booking, but all the downstairs rooms were apparently taken, so we were put upstairs. I'd come back if I could get a bigger room downstairs.

The grounds were trashy, and the room was nasty. During our stay, fur balls, fuzz, and a used flosser appeared. There were no amenities at all, no microwave, fridge, or blow dryer. We arrived after traveling and went straight to the bathroom, then I realized what was missing. I booked through my credit card, one night on points and one paid, and it was ridiculously overpriced. The amenities had been listed when I booked, so I expected the basics. I asked the tall blonde front desk clerk for a different room, but Miss Power Trip said no because we'd already “touched things.” I didn't have time to argue, so I contacted Motel 6 customer service. You can't call, only submit a form, and it won't accept punctuation. They were supposed to reply within 24 hours, but didn't. Then they kept asking for the same information instead of looking up the reservation, as if they were trying to wear me down until I gave up. I'm done.

We drove from Las Vegas for a day in Sedona and stayed in Flagstaff, which worked out well. The location was handy for getting to Sedona, back to the highway toward Vegas, and close to downtown Flagstaff. The room was really clean and the shower was great. The sink tap sprayed a bit too forcefully, but we enjoyed our stay.

I visit Flagstaff every week, and Motel 6 Woodlands is my go-to for a low price. Check-in at the hotel's kiosk is quick, smooth, and friendly. Steven, who works at the kiosk, is kind and helpful and makes things easy when I arrive, with little or no hassle. I'd recommend it if you'd rather save some money for exploring and having fun in Flagstaff.
