Super 8 Flagstaff I40 Ex 198 Lucky Lane

We’ve stayed at fancier hotels that didn’t meet our standards as well as Super 8 did. Our room was very clean, so much so that you could smell the cleaning products. When something went wrong with the bath, the manager came right over and fixed it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it.

I booked through a deal app and paid $53.99 for two guests, but didn’t realize I needed at least $100 available for a deposit. I had around $70, and Super 8 took the $53.99 from my account. They also charged another $10 for some reason, then tried to take a $100 deposit, which was declined. When I asked the front desk how to get my money back, he told me to call TripAdvisor. He didn’t mention that TripAdvisor would contact the motel, which then decides whether to issue a refund. So I was charged for a room I never checked into. If you’re planning to book here, I’d choose somewhere else.

We got another room without any trouble after finding the door open on the first one. The beds were clean, but the floor was dirty enough that everything looked grimy, so we sanitized the surfaces ourselves. Call ahead and make sure your room floors have been vacuumed. This was our second choice for a two-night summer rate. The rooms aren’t the nicest, and the location isn’t quiet. I usually prefer the Quality Inn two hotels down. Still, we were okay with our stay.

After our truck broke down, we had to spend a few days in hotels. We started at La Quinta, which felt overpriced, and I wish we’d come straight to Super 8. The rooms felt nicer and the hotel cleaner. Our dog could stay with us, and the two-queen room worked well for us, our three-month-old baby, and our pooch. A bathtub was a big plus with a baby. We’ve started trusting budget hotels again. If the to-go breakfast bag doesn’t suit you, Cracker Barrel is an option, and you can still save money instead of paying an extra $100 elsewhere. Thanks, Super 8.
