Western Hills Motel

The location in Flagstaff was great, and there’s an Agave restaurant on the property, which is a bonus if you like Mexican food. The manager was friendly and accommodating at check-in, and the room was comfy, with a distinctive touch and all the essentials, though it was a bit outdated. The shower was good and I have no real complaints. The TV was great too, I watched Food Network all night and was entertained. There was no fridge or microwave, though I didn’t need either. I know those can be useful for other guests, and I saw in other reviews they might be available on request. A bigger trash can would’ve been handy. Enjoyable stay for a night.

There’s a train that seems to pass nearby every hour, but to our surprise it wasn’t very audible in the room. We felt it more than heard it, and everyone slept through it just fine, even the baby. The host was very friendly and kind to my whole family, especially the kids. This quaint motel is more than it first appears, with a wonderful restaurant onsite and many businesses, including Walmart, a short drive away. We’d absolutely stay again if we come back to see the Grand Canyon.

The room was clean, the sheets were clean, and the WiFi was adequate. It was a pleasant stay with no problems, and I’d come back. The gentleman at registration was friendly, courteous, and thorough. It’s a classic 50’s Route 66 motel, but the rooms are pretty outdated in a bad way. The furniture suggests the last remodel was in the early 90’s. Some things work and others don’t. A modest update could really bring out this unique motel’s charm. I didn’t try the onsite restaurant.

This older Motel has a certain Route 66 quality, like being part of history. The room was just right for relaxing and what I needed. Most of it was outdated, except the tv, and that was fine with me. Chase at the front desk was awesome. I arrived a couple hours early to check that my reservation had gone through, and he checked me in early without hesitation. He was polite and friendly. I’d stay here again.
