Sunset Inn Flatonia I 10 by Hotel O

This was one of the dirtiest, creepiest, most shameful hotels we've ever stayed in. It felt like a throwback to the 1930s, with Al Capone and John Dillinger as guests. Absolutely disgusting and sickening.

Inside, the place looks better. After we had no A/C or hot water the first night, the manager worked with me and charged half price for the week because of the inconvenience.

Terrible place. The outlet by the sink was unsafe, doors wouldn't lock, and the refrigerators didn't work. The employees didn't seem to know how to run even a cheap motel. Bulldoze this dump!

I sent two trucks there for the night and paid cash for two rooms, which we now know was a mistake. The rooms were disgusting. My drivers took pictures of bedbugs in the beds, roaches across the floor, and mold on the carpet, along with the smell. They left immediately and went to the front desk, but were told there'd be no refund. It felt like a scam: the rooms weren't fit to stay in, and after reading other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing problem, not a one-off. My drivers have spent years on the road and said they'd never seen a place so filthy and unsanitary, with mold and bugs everywhere. They found another hotel down the street that was fine. The staff made it clear there'd be no refund. If we'd paid by card, I could have stopped the payment, but my men paid cash and were told, essentially, too bad. They don't provide a sanitary room and don't care.
