Days Hotel Sutton Flatwoods

The rooms were clean and comfortable enough, and I had a really good stay during the 2026 Fallout Fan Celebration: EAST. The hotel staff worked their tails off to make the event run well and look after everyone, which made it easy for us to enjoy ourselves. Huge thanks to them all. A special mention to MADDOX, who was kind, helpful, engaging, and hardworking. I also enjoyed chatting with the cleaning lady on the 5th floor of the main lobby tower. She was very nice and always offered to clean my room.

Parking was frustrating, with spaces too narrow to open car doors even though there seemed to be plenty of room. The hotel also stays under construction, with materials blocking entrances and a huge dumpster to drive around just to reach check-in. I last visited about a decade ago, and there haven’t been any upgrades since, though it seems construction has been going on the whole time. It makes no sense that the hotel and conference center are “unaffiliated entities,” so hotel staff have no information about what meetings are taking place.

The location is right in the middle of WV, which is ideal, and the view from the back of the hotel is great. But what is going on here? Remodeling is underway, several rooms and common areas have AC that doesn’t work, key cards keep losing their magnetism for several of us, and rooms have random damage and leaks. Most areas looked clean, but I found trash under a chair after moving it and hair on the pillows. One shower even had boogers on the wall.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and check-in and checkout were both really easy. I’d definitely stay again.
