The room looked modern and was spotless, and the cleaning crew deserves credit for that. We were on the 8th floor, with such nice downtown views that we left the curtains open all night. Even with other guests around, it was completely quiet. The rate was lower than I expected, even though I booked in person. Parking was easy and cheap: a 24hr pass in the secure building across the street cost $5. We arrived well after hours, and the person working the front, also named Chris, was kind and welcoming. I stay at hotels at least once a month for work or travel and don't often write reviews, but this one's in my top two. It has a lot of the same modern, well-done feel as the Iron Horse in Milwaukee. I truly don't understand how the rental rate is so low. Definitely stay here.

It wasn't the immaculate hotel or the clean, beautiful room that would bring me back. It would be Chris. My husband had a horrible accident, and we had to stay near the Flint hospital for an extended time. While he was in a hospital bed, I kept pacing around the hotel, sitting in the common area, and going in and out the front door. I was distraught and couldn't sleep. After one of my trips outside, the same gentleman who'd been letting me in and out all night saw how much pain I was in. He asked if I needed a hug, then held me tight and told me everything would be okay and that I was surrounded by love. Chris, you're the nicest stranger I've ever met. Thank you for being so kind when I was desperate and reminding me of the love around me. Never stop being you. People like you are why the world keeps spinning. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. If I ever have to return to this hotel, you'll be the reason.

There's plenty here if you don't want to leave the property: the restaurant serves good Italian food and burgers, and there's a full bar. The rooms are clean and have modern decor. The staff are always friendly and attentive.

We picked this place for our wedding night, and I couldn't have been happier. It may be the nicest hotel in the area. The restaurant downstairs has delicious food and a beautiful bar, plus there's a fun rooftop bar. Such a gorgeous hotel, a hidden gem if you ask me.

The food was a standout. The Tuscan chicken with green beans and baby red potatoes was one of the five best meals I've ever had. The rooftop bar is gorgeous, especially at sunset, with music and electric firepits in some seating areas along its L-shaped layout. We were at the Hilton Garden Inn for a friend's wedding. From the outside, the building is old-style and beautiful, but inside it's been updated with a completely different, modern look. The floors are gray and white hardwood, and the whole place is lovely. There are two regular elevators and one wheelchair elevator, which I thought was great. The rooms with two beds are huge, with a separate couch and chair area. One-bed rooms are significantly smaller. The bathroom is on the small side, though the shower is pretty big, and there's an open closet area. Parking downtown Flint can be a nightmare. It's ridiculous to pay for parking, but that's how downtown is. The hotel's not at fault for lacking its own free lot, though the people who decided to charge for downtown parking are. The hotel offers cheap valet for a few dollars, but I'm betting the garage adds another $5 on top of the valet fee. Since parking is across the street, plan on walking a couple minutes with all your things. It isn't like a motel with a parking lot. The elevators took a while to reach me, which I didn't like, but I'd still come back. I enjoyed my time there.
