La Quinta Inn Cleveland Independence

There was a nice pub right next door, plus a steakhouse within walking distance, as well as a Dennys and a Bob Evans. The location itself felt a bit weird, though. The room seemed clean apart from the bathroom, where I found shaved hair and other stuff on the wall before my morning shower. The trim around the bottom of the shower had mold on it, and I'm not sure who thought that was a good idea. Housekeeping could clean better, and the place needs maintenance. The bed was nice, but the walls are thin, and even with late checkout you won't sleep in because they vacuum the hall around 10 am. It was a pretty normal stay, and affordable, but nowhere near mariott or Hilton standards. It won't cost you an arm and a leg, and you won't be wondering if you'll get a disease, but don't expect a 3 star resort.

The room was spacious, though the bathroom was quite small. Service and location were good, and the other guests were fairly quiet despite the thin walls. The shower curtain was mildewed and made the room smell on our last night. Aside from that, we had a pretty good stay.

The bathroom had visible mold throughout, which I found unacceptable and a serious health concern. The TV also didn't work at all. I raised both issues with manager Apruv Patel, but they dismissed my concerns and made no meaningful effort to fix anything. They also denied my refund request despite the clear, documented problems. The lack of accountability and poor customer service, along with those room conditions, made this an extremely disappointing stay at La Quinta by Wyndham Cleveland Independence. Management and ownership need to reassess cleanliness, maintenance, and customer care. I wish I could post pictures.

Our room was spotless, spacious, and quiet, so we got a great night's sleep. The staff were very welcoming, especially front desk Rishi, who was helpful and even offered local recommendations. I had a wonderful stay at The Laquinta.
