There aren’t many places in town to buy food, aside from gas stations, so plan for that. Still, I’d absolutely recommend this cute, clean, comfortable roadside motel and would stay again. Check-in was contactless, and as a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe. I had end room #6, with a private second room in back that had a bed, plus two beds in the front. There’s also a beautiful mountain view.

Easy contactless check-in, a clean and nice room, and a really comfortable bed made for a cozy stay. The mountains looked great from the parking area in the morning.

This is a clean, basic motel that works really well as a place to sleep before or after a hike, or as a road trip stop. It’s well located for Kearsarge or Whitney, and room 5 looked newly remodeled. The bed was very comfortable, check-in was super easy, and the off-site manager responded quickly when an issue came up during our stay. I’ll definitely return when hiking the eastern sierras. It’s not a resort, but it’s a great hiking base.

After a long trip, we were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was great and clean, with plenty of towels and some nice snacks. The hotel staff also worked with us to plan our check-in. Right outside the door was an amazing mountain view ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The beds were so comfortable, and the pretty bathroom and kitchenette made the room feel like a little home away from home. Eastern Sierra Motor Lodge was cozy and clean, a perfect place to come back to after spending the day exploring the epic Alabama hills. We had such a great time and can’t wait to stay again!
