Economy Inn

This is our go-to place when we’re in the area. We’ve stayed here many times and always had a wonderful experience. The owners are friendly and generous, and since it’s family-owned, we’re happy to support a local business whenever we can.

The room was freezing when we arrived, so I turned on the stove. About five minutes later, the smoke detectors went off and it smelled like something was burning. Quite a few things didn’t seem clean. It worked in a pinch, but I won’t stay there again.

The pool and hot tub were open, which made us very happy. Everything was clean, and the hot tub was wonderfully hot and relaxing. My mom has limited mobility and couldn’t have managed stairs, so the single-level layout worked well for her. We’d stay again. The room was fairly priced and had a nice fridge and coffee maker. It was in somewhat rough shape, with holes in the walls where chairs seemed to have rubbed, plus paint on the doorknobs and other random spots, as if the job had been rushed. Still, it was clean, the area was nice, and the staff were kind.

We had a large group and stayed in a room with three beds. It was pretty clean and comfortable, and the staff were very nice and helpful. They got us pool towels quickly and helped us get good coffee. I’d avoided the place before because of the reviews, but I might stay here next time we come to Florence.
