Fairfield Inn & Suites Florence I-20

It was noisy, the breakfast wasn’t very good, and they charged for parking. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it at this price. About the response below: the “total price of stay” didn’t include parking or show a parking fee. This was a random stop off I-95, not a downtown hotel. The fee wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I reserved the room.

Kassie, the manager, is wonderful, and Tunisia, the breakfast attendant, was so friendly and did a great job. She kept everything refilled and cleaned up after each person. Breakfast was good too. The service here makes it clear they care about whether you’re happy with your stay. That’s what makes this Marriott stand out from the other hotels in the area. Thank you!

We’ve stayed here for our last 3 visits. The Fairfield Inn in Hartsville, closer to my husband’s family home, had become a dump. Every visit there brought some problem, like a dirty shower, marks on the headboard, or a smoky smell. Florence is half an hour away, and this place felt like it had some class. Our 3rd stay here made me nervous, though. The staff seem less friendly and not very eager to help, but I could get past that. What I can’t get past is reporting a mildew smell in my room, asking what could be done, and being told someone would come up, then nobody did. I even said my asthma was being triggered. That level of care isn’t okay. I’ll bring it up again when I check out today.

We only stayed one night, but the experience was wonderful. Every staff member we met was welcoming and accommodating, and the hotel was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you!
