I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I went to the bar and lounge and enjoyed it. It’s a large, stylish space upstairs from Turbo Coffee, and it’s a much-needed place to hang out and socialize around Florence. The drinks are a little expensive. Even though the bar was open, they wouldn’t heat the outside area so we could sit on the balcony. Keeping that space open would really improve the atmosphere.

The hospitality made our stay memorable, even with the ice storm. The folks there welcomed us so warmly, and we loved the design, history, style, and comfort of the place. I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s worth a trip to Florence/Muscle Shoals just to stay here. We’ll be back!

The service at the upstairs bar was awful on my first visit last night, and I won’t be back. I paid $50 cash for two cocktails, but they didn’t have change, so the bartender said to bring it to my table. That seemed fine until the change never showed up. When I asked for it on my way out, I waited five minutes. After I prompted them again, they brought it over and slapped it aggressively on the table. I’m happy to speak or email with management if they want to discuss this review.

I was there for New Year’s 2025 and waited THREE HOURS for a drink. The bartenders were ignorant and idiotic. WORST bar service I have EVER EVER HAD. I will NEVER GO BACK. 1/1/26

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, with big rooms themed around artists and musicians. The lobby bar is great, and there’s a nice cafe downstairs. The staff are friendly, though they’re only there for limited hours, so you may need to handle things yourself. I didn’t mind, but I can see how it could be an issue. It’s a rare find and deserves the recognition it’s been getting.
