Hotel Florence, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The front desk staff are the first people you meet, and all four I've encountered so far have been welcoming and accommodating. The hotel feels clean, classic, and old world. Walking in makes me feel like I've made it, like I have money, lol. It's in a lively part of town, so you can visit nearby places on foot or eat at the in-hotel restaurant. I'm here for work and am an introvert, so I don't go out much, but I enjoy watching people and what's happening from my window now and then. I love staying here. It fills up fast, so reserve early!

We left boring old 95 for this quaint Victorian hotel in the heart of historic downtown Florence, South Carolina, and found a real gem. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and attractive, and the staff courteous. Hilton restoring historic hotels like this one is great, since I doubt they would survive in this day and age under private ownership. There's a restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, plus a Mexican place across the street and a pizza parlor next door. Parking is free in lots either across the street or behind the hotel. You get the Hilton amenities, though breakfast isn't free as it is at the Hilton Hampton Inn. We'd definitely stay again.

The penthouse upgrade made this a particularly comfortable stop for the day. It was beautifully decorated and would suit a bigger family well. We had a great breakfast, friendly service, and a good spa, and the room itself was gorgeous. The hotel has a good restaurant, too. It was well worth the cost. Thanks, we'll be back on our next road trip!

This downtown Florence boutique hotel has a lovely old look and feel, and the staff are really friendly. The beds are so comfortable! The restaurant is a bit expensive, but not bad. Our black eyed peas were undercooked, though the staff quickly made it right with a discount and free dessert. There's a spa and a very small gym. I'd book here again if I'm back in the area.
