Ocean Breeze Motel

The host was kind and helpful, and there was plenty of room. It worked well for a night or two at a good price. The room and bathroom were clean, though the scented cleaning products have a strong smell if you're sensitive to that. Apart from that, all good.

The room was spacious and fairly priced, which mattered since I needed somewhere at very short notice and found it on booking.com. The front desk lady was nice and mentioned that booking.com might not show the best rate, so double-check what you're paying if you book there. There's no AC, though on the Oregon coast that may only be a problem once in a while. You can hear some road noise from being right off 101. I'd stay again if keeping the cost down was a priority.

Room 6 smelled musty and mildewy, with strong bleach and disinfectant odors. There was a coffee stain on the counter, and the toilet hadn't been cleaned. I rented it in person on October 31, 2025 for two nights and paid $203.40. Because of the room's condition, I left to find another place, and staff were upset that I did. They refused to refund the second night, saying I hadn't given 48 hours' notice, even though I'd walked in and rented it less than 24 hours earlier. It makes no sense. I also left because of a medical emergency. That night I went to the emergency room in Florence Oregon, and the ER doctor nearly admitted me, saying the emergency was more than likely due to exposure to something in room 6. I felt staff treated me rudely and discriminated against me because of my health. I'll never stay there again.

Small rooms, but cozy, with cute accent decor, a comfortable bed, and great water pressure. They smelled nice and were VERY clean. This is how all small motels should be run.
