Quality Inn & Suites Florence Civic Center

Breakfast was quick and basic, and checkout was just as easy as check-in. The location was great, the service was amazing, and it had the amenities I needed. I’d definitely use this place again next time I’m in the area.

The location is handy, but the stay was rough. The hotel is being worked on, so there was dust, and we could hear the workers starting at 7:30 in the morning. The waffles and syrup tasted like they’d expired. On top of that, the breakfast staff were talking about the people eating there.

The hotel was clean and nice, but two front desk staff made me feel unwelcome and gave me a hard time. One was an older African American woman, and the other was a Black man who wears glasses. I stayed for more than three days, and everyone else treated me well and helped without any trouble. I usually don’t write reviews, but those two interactions made me not want to come back.

The bed was comfortable and clean, and the front desk and breakfast staff were pleasant. I chose this place because it’s very close to I 95 N, but our room was on the second floor and there’s no elevator. Renovations were underway next door, with debris on the floor and electrical cords we had to walk over to reach our room. The non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke, and the shower dispensers had no shampoo or conditioner.
