The room was huge, with plenty of amenities, and that big refrigerator was a real plus. The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with great water pressure and temperature. Check-in was quick, and the clerk was very helpful. I got there at the earliest check-in time, so my room wasn’t ready and they upgraded me to a King room. I’d booked earlier in the week without really checking reviews, which usually turns out badly for me. From outside, the building and sign looked rough, and there was an odor in the parking lot, so I was already skeptical. I tend to look for things wrong after bad hotel experiences, but the lobby was open, clean, and nicely decorated, and the inside was much better than the exterior suggested. I’d recommend it to friends coming to Florence. The outside appearance is why I gave it four stars, but the stay itself was five star, and the value is hard to beat.

This place is badly overdue for an update. The rooms feel worn out, the carpets are old, and there’s a musty smell in the hallways, which don’t have air conditioning. The room that used to be a restaurant is just trashy now. Not what I’d expect from a Ramada.
