Staybridge Suites Florence - Civic Center by IHG

The staff were courteous and friendly, and the breakfast staff were the standout. The room was passable for one night and better than a cheaper motel, but I wouldn’t return. The door didn’t close properly when we entered or left, which concerned me for security. Vents were dusty, the bathroom showed wear, and there were mystery stains and damage, gunk on the chair, and a towel shoved into the gap beside the dishwasher. It looked superficially clean, with clean sheets and no obvious spills or hair, but past that it was dirty and worn. I’d read glowing cleanliness reviews before booking, and this was the highest rated and most expensive place in the area, so it fell short of expectations. We knew it was pet friendly, but other hotels sometimes set aside rooms for guests with allergies. This one didn’t appear to, so anyone with allergies should steer clear.

Ms. Rose and her grits were a highlight, and breakfast came with her singing too. She had us clapping and made us all feel so good. The rooms, the Den, the outdoor lounge, and the breakfast area were all 1,000,000 out of 1,000,000. I stayed at THEE Staybridge Suites with my mom and daughters, and the whole staff was so welcoming and friendly. They made us feel like they really loved their guests. I’m already booked for another stay very soon. If you’re in Florence and need a place, Staybridge is the one, trust me, you won’t regret it.

Breakfast was one of the best my wife and I have had, and we travel quite a bit. There were cheese omelets, sausage, scones, fresh fruit, and hot, good coffee, not just egg pucks. We slowed down and enjoyed it. The staff were genuinely positive, responsive, and helpful from check-in through breakfast the next morning. There were more amenities than we’d planned for, including a clean, new-looking laundry room by the workout room, a pool, and a Manager’s Reception serving food. We’d already made dinner plans, so we didn’t try the reception.

We stayed in a 1 king studio with a clean, spacious room, kitchenette, and pull-out sofa. The location was convenient, with restaurants nearby and a movie theater within walking distance. I’d stay here again.
