Staybridge Suites Florence by IHG

The only downside was hearing planes land and take off at night. It wasn’t horrible, and the kids liked watching them. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was pretty good too, with yogurt and a fruit bar, eggs, waffles, sausage, and other things. We’d definitely stay again.

The room had everything I needed, including a full-size fridge, stovetop, and dishwasher. I also loved the free washers and dryers, and the service was great. It was quiet and conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and highway access.

We’ve had a perfect experience every time we’ve stayed here. The door locks aren’t as loud as at other modern hotels. Tip: on your way out, the key card releases the handle, so you can hold it and close the door quietly. And before showering, point the spray head toward the back of the shower so water doesn’t spray onto the floor.

I’d never stayed at one of these long-stay hotels before, and we were only passing through for one night. The rooms were fine, though I found two small hairs on the bed, and having to go back to the desk for sheets for the pull-out was annoying. The woman who checked us in was very nice. The common areas looked worn and dirty, and the smell of weed hit me as soon as I came through the first double doors. Some of the people we saw seemed to be living there. I don’t know what was going on, but I wouldn’t stay again.
