Country Lodge

The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed, new-looking floors, and pretty wall tile in the bathroom. The bathtub was especially nice, clean, and looked new. I've stayed in more expensive places with tubs that looked scary, so I dreaded using them. The woman who checked me in was really sweet and helpful. I was worried the non-smoking room might smell like cigarettes since they also have smoking rooms, but it smelled clean with no cigarette odor at all. There's a microwave and fridge too, more than I've had at some pricier places. Pleasantly surprised. Great job!

The room was disgusting, and it cost $170 a night.

The price was well over $100 a night, and they change the Wi-Fi password every day, so you have to walk to the office to get the new one. I stayed more than one night, and my key stopped working the next day, so I had to go back to the office to have it reactivated. I called booking.com and was on hold for over an hour. I need to speak to someone right away! The room was filthy from top to bottom. It smelled moldy, there was mold on the roof, and a huge dead Roach was in the cabinet under the sink. The AC unit was covered in filth, the pillows had stains that looked like blood, and nobody had swept under the bed. The walls were dirty, the table was chipped everywhere, and the chairs were dusty and dirty. Even the appliance cables and door lock chain were disgusting. The TV remote was sticky, bath towels had hair on them, and there was grime inside the cabinets. The ice bucket was dirty and had no bag. The toilet paper roll wasn't new, so we ran out almost immediately. They shouldn't be allowed to take people's money and treat them like this.

The floor was very dirty, and the sink had old toothpaste and soap residue on it. Our room hadn't been cleaned at all when we arrived. The linen was used and had pubic hair on it, and the TV didn't work. The manager was helpful when we asked for fresh bedding. Since we arrived late and stayed only one night, we didn't make any more of a fuss. It's a budget motel, but there are nicer ones in the area. I wouldn't stay here again.
