Staybridge Suites Flowood Nw Jackson by IHG

It’s clean, comfortable, and close to everything, and I’d stay again. My only gripe was needing ice right away: there’s no machine, and the in-room ice maker takes a while. I went down to the desk, where a very nice receptionist got some for me from the kitchen.

The checkout response was disappointing. We reported the insects we’d found, but no one acknowledged the problem or offered help. The bugs had already made it a rough night: after dinner, we found several flying around our room, including on the ceiling. We got rid of them, but our children were anxious and woke repeatedly, so none of us slept well. In the morning we spotted more by the window and beneath the carpet, so it didn’t seem like a one-off. We were a family of four staying at Staybridge Suites Flowood – NW Jackson on Jan 2-3, 2026, and had a long drive ahead the next morning while already exhausted. Guests shouldn’t have to deal with active insects regardless of the season, and we expected more empathy from the staff. It didn’t meet our expectations for a family-friendly hotel.

For an overnight with our family of six, it worked out well and I’d stay again. The rooms felt a bit small for all of us, but they were clean, the staff were nice, and breakfast was standard.

The staff were pleasant, and the room was clean, comfortable, and nice. I’ll choose this place again next time I’m in town.
