The wedding day itself was beautiful, and the people were great. I loved the celebration, but the day before was really stressful. I had picked Glasbern a year earlier because we wanted a covered venue in case it rained, and I thought I’d been told there wouldn’t be another wedding at the same time. Then, the night before, I found out there was another one that day, even though I’d been told in April that mine was the only wedding booked. Later, when my bridesmaids asked about logistics, Glasbern said they planned to ask me if the other wedding could use my covered spot about 30 minutes before mine, in case of rain. My guests might have been left in the lobby at the bottom of the hill, waiting to climb the stairs just as my wedding began. My mom spoke with them, and apparently they’d also worked something out with my florists without asking us first, to show that it would be fine. I felt awful and couldn’t sleep, worrying that saying no had ruined the other bride’s day. Thankfully the weather was lovely for both weddings. I was also uncomfortable when, during cocktail hour, I assume the man in charge came over to pitch me on holding future events there. It felt too soon after the day-before situation. I had a lovely experience overall, but I hope other brides make sure they won’t be put in that position.

We held two weekends of company events at Glasbern, and the staff made the whole experience fantastic. Megan helped us manage details that kept changing, Denyelle took care of room bookings, and our banquet manager Anthony made sure everything was in place. The chef made phenomenal food, and our servers, especially Tracey and Nan, gave guests a great experience. The service was top notch, probably the best event team I’ve worked with. Glasbern is a hidden gem, and I’d love to come back for a personal retreat.

The views and peaceful countryside setting made our stay at Glasbern Inn feel special. Our room had a hot tub and a lovely mix of rustic charm and elegance, and the whole place felt warm and relaxing. The room was surprisingly reasonably priced for the amenities, and dinner was fresh, delicious, generously portioned, and moderately priced. Everyone on staff was attentive and seemed happy to be there, which made us feel welcome. A charming, high quality getaway, and I can’t wait to return.

We visited The Packhouse at Glasbern on February 1st. The grounds are beautiful, with breathtaking scenery that made for a peaceful, relaxing escape. We had a few minor issues, but they were handled quickly and professionally. McKenzie was kind and supportive, and Gary responded fast and got things resolved. Their care made a real difference. We’ll definitely be back.

Dinner was amazing, and the scenery was gorgeous. Our room was just right, with a beautiful hot tub inside. I can’t wait to see the place in spring or summer, especially the sky. I also found out they have more rooms than I knew about, and booking directly gets you a better rate. Next time I’ll call them myself. I’ll upload pictures soon.
