There’s ice available if you ask them to plug in the machine, and I didn’t find any bed bugs, which was the one plus. Otherwise, this family-owned motel needs a lot of care and could be much cleaner. The sheets and blankets have cigarette burns, and there’s no coffee maker, microwave, or clock. I’m not sure what makes it worth $120 a night. I hope they fix it up, because with a complete overhaul it could be amazing.

The tub had cigarette burns nearby, and everything in the room felt outdated. I also saw someone high in the parking lot trying to pick me up when I went outside for fresh air. Inside, the room was dark and depressing. The pillows had orange and yellow stains and looked over twenty years old, maybe from when the place opened. I was afraid to think about the mattress. When I pulled back the covers, a daddy long leg ran across it. If spiders scare you, good luck.

There’s plenty to do within walking distance or a short drive, and they have both smoking and non-smoking rooms. The owners and staff have always been friendly and easygoing. Our room was nice and clean, and the place is in a great location. It’s a convenient, quiet, comfortable stay, and I’d recommend it. I just wish there were a microwave in the room 😅

The people here were friendly, but the room size didn’t feel worth the high price. After a week, I left and found another room three miles down the road for the same price, with more space and a pool. The staff there weren’t as friendly, but I’ll take the bigger room and pool.
