Best Western Jacksonville Inn

We had two rooms on 9/20/25. The carpet was stained, the towel rack was rusty, the rooms smelled, the beds were hard, and the pool was cold. The woman at the front desk was rude and lied to us again. My kids behaved well, with no running or loudness in the halls, yet she seemed not to like children and spent much of her time outside smoking or wandering the halls. My teenage kids stood outside watching cars go by during cruise night, and I don’t see how that affected the inside of the hotel. Meanwhile, homeless men were out back yelling and talking to themselves, but my kids got talked about for watching cars. This place didn’t make our stay pleasant at all. I wouldn’t stay again. It’s trash, and don’t bring kids here, they’ll treat you like crap.

The staff were friendly and the property was kept up very well. Rooms were spacious and clean, with a microwave and small fridge, though there’s no freezer. Breakfast was great, but exactly the same each day. The Wi-Fi was unavailable all weekend, which took away from the otherwise positive experience.

The pool was pleasant, with a comfortable temperature and no harsh chlorine smell. The hotel was very clean, though the carpet could use an update, and I believe that’s in progress. The beds were extremely comfortable, the sheets so soft, and the AC cool and crisp. As a woman in my late 40s, a cool, comfortable place to sleep is worth gold. Breakfast had a nice range of food, and staff quickly replenished the trays. We stay in hotels often, and this one is perfect for the value.

The front desk woman told my daughter and her friends they couldn’t sit in the lobby while waiting for her aunt. She was so rude, and this place definitely isn’t kid friendly, or teen friendly, I should say. We came for my daughter’s birthday, and I asked to use the breakfast area so she could open presents and eat pizza with three friends and three family members. First I was told no, then that we could have only an hour, from 5 to 6, because a wedding party was coming to use the room. We cleaned everything up afterward and left no mess. The woman had lied to my face, there was no wedding party. Our family and her friends drove 30 minutes just to be rushed through an hour. I’ve never had this happen before. Next time I’ll go back to Sleep Inn and Suites, where I never had an issue and the front desk gentleman went above and beyond for my daughter’s birthday. I’ll never come back here. She made the birthday a mess. Do better.
