Hampton Inn Jacksonville-Downtown-I-95

The area seemed safe, and it was easy to get to the sports complex a few miles away. Staff were friendly and the place seemed good. We got downstairs too late to eat, but I saw the continental breakfast before the food area closed, and it looked delicious. Would stay again.

The room was clean, tidy, and stocked with towels, washcloths, body wash, and the other basics. Our two queen beds were comfortable, and both the AC and heater worked well. I’d give the place 5/5, especially because of the staff. The front desk helped sort out a computer glitch when I was checking in for my departure date, and they quickly fixed an issue with the older coffee maker in my room. The day before checkout I asked about extending my stay, and Tracy, the Director of Sales, patiently did her best to help. She was very kind.

Miss Tina in the breakfast area really cares about her work and whether people enjoy their food. She remembers which things the construction workers like and makes extra for them each week. She was also excited to tell us a new waffle flavor was coming and hoped visitors would like it. Please recognize her. If I could’ve poached her for my own work, I would have! The rest of the hotel was clean and well kept. Our room was neat, the AC worked great, and the shower was big, with full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

We had grits, eggs, bacon, fruit, potatoes, and waffles, and the food was great. But it was the breakfast staff, Ms Pat and Ms Tina, who made the morning feel so special. They were kind, showed us where everything was, and made me feel like my mom had cooked breakfast and really wanted me to enjoy it. I left in a much better mood than I arrived. Ms. Christine at the front desk was also wonderful. Five-star experience! 12/17/25
