Hampton Inn Jacksonville East Regency Square

We liked the high ceilings, and the room felt spacious and was clean. The location was just right for our plans, and the cookies at the front desk were a hit with the kids. We had a great stay in Jacksonville.

The bathroom door was loose and wouldn't close all the way, and there was someone else's hair in the tub. Check-in was chaotic because there weren't enough employees, and the key maker was acting up so only one of our keys worked. Fresh paint in the hallway left fumes, and it would've been good to know before we checked in. We'd relied on Hampton Inns for years because they're usually safe and clean and have good coffee. This was one of the worst I've stayed at. Our son needed a hot breakfast before his race, but they didn't have one because an employee hadn't shown up. A sign said takeaway breakfast was available, so I asked for it, but they don't offer it on weekends. It was Saturday. Such a disappointment.

After a long day of travel, we arrived late, and Antney made us feel welcome right away. They were personable and helpful. It was the best front desk experience we've had at a Hilton.

The bathroom didn't look properly cleaned: there were fingerprints on the counter, and the toilet paper roll was almost empty. Then I found a roach in the room. I was disgusted. The air felt damp and musty as soon as I came in, and the floor AC unit wasn't doing much to clear it up. I can live with outdated furniture when I travel, but not with a room that feels this unclean. Thoroughly disappointed. Don't stay here.
