Sunshine turned a stressful booking mistake into a wonderful start to our stay at the Marriott Downtown Jax. I’d reserved the wrong nights and arrived during a busy local event, with a line at the desk. Sunshine told me they’d expected me the night before. I panicked when I saw how full the hotel was, but she calmly checked that I was okay and that there hadn’t been an emergency, then said she’d sort it out. She did, and made sure I wasn’t charged a cancellation fee. She got us into a lovely newly renovated room, and was kind and professional throughout. She was unforgettable, as was the beautiful hotel. The lobby was under construction, but the place was clean and comfortable, and the stay was relaxing. Every staff member we spoke with over the weekend was friendly, quick, and great at their job. Special thanks to the valet team, who worked incredibly hard through a packed weekend. I’ll stay here every time I’m in Jacksonville. Thanks to the whole team, especially Sunshine!

The conference facilities were nice, and the catering went well. The hotel itself was great, with the modern twist I expect from Marriott, but the staff are what made it special. Downtown parking is valet, and the team were incredible. AJ was always upbeat and helped me with my bags to the room whenever he was there. Michael was great too, as was Sunshine at the front desk.

After a really disappointing Airbnb experience, we drove down from Orlando feeling stressed. The moment we entered the hotel, Kari Olson greeted us with a smile and made the place feel calm and welcoming. Her professional, genuinely helpful care completely changed our visit. She’s a real asset to the company, and I hope she’s appreciated for the kindness she showed us.

Sunshine at the front desk made the stay wonderful for me and my husband. The room was spacious, modern, comfortable, and spotless, with thoughtful details throughout. We also liked the breakfast selection and the clean, well-run dining area. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location put restaurants, shops, and major attractions close by. We had a fantastic stay.

I went to the bar to get some work done, and Mason made the visit. He was friendly, knew the menu by heart, and pointed me toward some of its best options. It’s great to see hospitality like that. I’d come back and stay here just for him. Thanks, Mason!
