At Home Inn & Suites

I don't usually leave reviews, but figured this might help someone who's unsure about the low price. I was skeptical too, and ended up thrilled with the place. It was clean, the beds were really comfortable, and the service has been great. Dana is so sweet and made us feel welcome and at ease. We've had a great time so far, especially because of her.

A real bargain if you travel through here often. It's close to 10, with BJ's gas and a few restaurants nearby, and there's plenty of parking. The area seemed relatively safe to me, across from the big car dealerships. The hotel looks like an older 60's property that's been renovated. The lobby is beautiful, and they offer free coffee, juice, and packaged breakfast items. Rooms are clean and updated, the water pressure is okay, and both the AC and fridge worked. There's a laundry room too. For this price, the value is outstanding. If it cost twice as much, I might take a star off for the value, but at this rate it's spectacular.

The pool area was clean and pleasant, and there was even a radio available to use. Inside, the main building felt bright and inviting, and my room was very clean. The receptionist was friendly, and the grounds were kept up nicely. I stayed two nights in an interior room. My only issue was the AC, which was louder than most units I've had over the years. I didn't mention it to staff, since I think the fan motor was vibrating against the housing and that may be hard to fix. It's a bit of a drive from the beach, but the stay was worth it. I'd book here again if I'm back in town.

The bed was comfortable, and the lobby had hot water with coffee and tea. Still, I don't get where the excellent reviews come from. It's fine for the price, but you get what you pay for. The cleaning product smell stayed all night, and opening things up to air it out didn't help. There wasn't a shower curtain either. I'd have paid a little more for somewhere nicer.
