Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Forrest City

We checked in at midnight on 12/27/2025. There are multiple Tesla superchargers out front. The property feels new and clean, though they’re still working through some kinks. In our room, the shower exhaust fan didn’t work, and the bottom of the tub spout hadn’t been siliconed after what looked like a misdrill. I liked having hanging closet space and drawers. Breakfast was decent, with a waffle maker, yogurt, juice, instant eggs, and sausage. The muffins were surprisingly good. The dining area is laid out oddly, and the coffee is tucked away in another area. It costs more, but it’s new and clean. As someone with allergies, I was disappointed to see a big Great Dane come into the hotel. Maybe they have a special floor for contamination.

We’ve stayed at two Fairfield Marriott hotels in two days, and this one lived up to the chain’s consistency. It’s brand new, and you can tell. Dogs are welcome, too. The free breakfast had lots of choices, something for everyone. The room was nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. Two lovely women greeted us as soon as we arrived and made us feel welcome. The front entrance and seating area looked stunning, with beautiful furniture and complimentary refreshments.

The breakfast attendant made the morning special for our family. At 7 am, I came down to the clean, modern lobby for coffee. The man setting up breakfast greeted me cheerfully with “Good morning sir!” and said he hoped I’d enjoy breakfast. Once my family came down, we ate like kings: quiche, fluffy eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, and cereal, all from a full buffet. He came over to chat at our table and kept making sure we were happy. I wish I’d asked his name. He had long dreadlocks, and such a beautiful spirit. We left talking about him. I can’t rate this employee highly enough. I’ve traveled 4,000,000 miles on one airline and reached beyond platinum level at Bonvoy. This is hands-down the best hotel, and the only hotel review I’ve left in the last decade. There’s a charger where Tesla owners can leave their cars overnight. The lot also has plenty of room for big trucks. It’s a safe, brand new property.

On Nov 7th, Associate Raye Lakes refused to check me in and authorized cancellation of all four of my room reservations. I had to find last-minute accommodation for myself and my family, but I was still charged for all four rooms. Every time I call, I’m told a manager will get back to me as soon as possible. I still haven’t received a call or my refund. The property is new, but the management is very poor and unprofessional.
