The river view was nice, and my room was fairly clean apart from a faint cigarette smell left over from years ago. The bed was super comfortable, and the hotel was quiet and an easy walk to downtown Fort. The rooms have been renovated, though the parking lot badly needs repaving. Breakfast apparently only happens when the hotel is full, there’s no daily housekeeping, and the front desk isn’t staffed overnight. It was decent, just okay, and certainly not among the area’s worst hotels.

My son, my service dog, and I stayed two days in room 106. I’ve never stayed anywhere so filthy. Bugs were smashed all over the walls, the carpet was covered in pet stains and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, and there was feces on a wall. The shower had a large hole, and the walls were falling apart. There were also roaches and bed bugs. I notified the health department and building inspector. The air felt seriously infected, and there was drug activity too. This isn’t a place to bring kids. I’d close it myself, and you couldn’t pay me to stay there again.

There are cockroaches everywhere. When I told management, they acted like they had no idea, even though they tried spraying the room with bug killer and assured me that would fix it. They offered another room, but I checked it and found more roaches. Then they said I could either stay in that room or leave with a refund. It felt like they knew the place was infested but were pretending this was news to them.

The two sinks in the room were a nice extra, and the simple continental breakfast was available, I think, only on weekends. It’s clearly an older building, with some wear around the edges, but our room had been updated and was clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I’d stay here again if I needed a hotel in Fort Atkinson.

The beds were VERY comfortable, and our older room was clean, with a microwave and fridge together plus another sink outside the bathroom. The man who checked us in was nice and walked us to the room. It’s an older hotel with a few small repair issues. I would’ve added another star, but when we got back that night the towels were fresh and the beds still hadn’t been made.
