Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Ft. Collins E at I-25

The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and sink area were clean. The couch and chair, though, were filthy, and the room smelled of cigarettes. There were cigarette butts dumped right outside our door. On our second night, at around 8 pm, water started leaking from the bathroom ceiling and light fixture. It ran down onto the floor, wall, and toilet, and we could hear heavy dripping inside the wall. The floor was soaked, and we couldn't use the bathroom. I told the front desk, but nobody came to the room or moved us. There was no discount or compensation, and at checkout nobody apologized or seemed concerned. They just kept saying not to worry, that we'd get our deposit back because the leak wasn't our fault. It's also very hard to find a way to contact someone about this specific Sonesta Hotel Group property on the website.

The man at the front desk was really nice, and we did get a refund. That was the only good part. We left just minutes after checking in because the room looked nothing like the website photos. There were No Smoking signs all over, but the room had clearly been smoked in. After only a few minutes inside, I smelled of smoke. The sheets were stained, and someone had taped a washcloth over the smoke detector. I know it's a value hotel, but there's a difference between affordable and decent. We weren't the only guests who checked out right after arriving. I would NOT recommend staying here.

The breakfast was barely worth calling breakfast. They had refrigerated egg and sausage patties to microwave and put on bread, I guess. I tried the waffles, but they smelled strange and tasted sour. They should just take the breakfast option off the table, voucher or not. They say you need to show the voucher, but nobody asked for it the next morning. The bed was comfortable, and the location right by the interstate made it easy to get back on the road. That's about all this place has going for it.

I'm in a wheelchair and need an accessible room because I can't get into the bathroom in a regular one. I stay here almost every week when I'm in town for doctors, and I always reserve a handicap room. This time I booked one three weeks ahead for Christmas, then called Christmas morning and Tylor told me he'd given it away. Don't stay here. Terrible service. Rooms without screens or window locks.
