The lobby was the standout for me: thoughtfully designed and cleaned, with a few huge ceiling areas, maybe 30 ft high, and lots of natural light. The hot tub and sauna were nice touches too. The room itself was basic but clean, with white sheets and towels and everything we needed. The hotel is close to downtown Fort Collins, which is convenient, though it's right beside the highway and a pretty run-down trailer park. A friendly staff and a clean, predictable basic hotel.

The Best Western Kiva Inn made a great first impression. I liked the decor and the warm, welcoming feel as soon as I walked in. The front desk woman was friendly and more than helpful. I met the owners and really like the area and the amenities at the hotel. The hot tub looked inviting, and the place felt safe with the area well lit. I also invested in one of the RV lots behind the hotel. There's one lot left to rent if you're staying in a camper or RV. Rent for the month was reasonable and included electric, water, sewer, and trash. There's a restaurant and convenience store right next door, and Walmart, Home Depot, Kentucky fried chicken, Taco bell, Ups, the safe way, and other little restaurants are just a few blocks away.

Alyssa at the front desk was the best part of our stay at Best Western Kiva. She handled our initial reservation by phone, welcomed us at check-in, and helped when we checked out. She was pleasant, efficient, and so helpful. She's the kind of person I'd hire, and her lovely manner really stuck with me. The hotel itself was clean, close to downtown, and simple, just what we needed.

The hotel is super cute, and check-in was excellent. The staff were friendly and gave us useful information. It's pet friendly, but there's an extra $25 charge that I only found out about when I asked.

The room was older and the doors slam shut, but I don't have any other complaints. Their pet policy seems intense, so check what it includes and whether you're comfortable with it.
