We love having this small apartment-like place to retreat to after a full day with family, friends, and fun. The Limpia has a quiet feel even though it’s right near the square, where we go for the annual Smoke in the Mountains BBQ. The rooms feel like stepping back in time, with wood floors, claw tubs, and poster beds, but the updates are just right, including air conditioning and a modern kitchen. There’s also a fully enclosed outdoor pool tucked off to the side for privacy. In the courtyard, big trees shade lots of little bistro tables where you can sit and watch the main street.

The staff were especially friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and had an equipped kitchen and a small living room, with a place to park the car if you bring one. It’s an old building, but Hotel Limpia is cozy and perfectly comfortable for a stay. The nights are dark, silent, and hot, so the A/C is much appreciated.

After days of agate hunting, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor adventures, my wife and I were glad to have a comfortable place to sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and most of the town’s places to eat are within walking distance. The coffee at the attached coffee shop was good, too.

I stopped by the Double Shot Coffee Lounge, though I didn’t stay at the hotel. It was clean and cozy inside, and Libby was so sweet and clearly working hard. The espresso machine wasn’t working, and they didn’t have caramel or vanilla flavorings, but the coffee was solid and the food was delicious. Thanks to Libby and chef Adee for a wonderful experience!

We had suite #6, and check-in was easy. The lady at the desk was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The room cleaning could’ve been better: there was dust on the blinds and soap scum inside the claw-foot tub. The towels seemed worn out, torn and not soft. One ripped while I was drying my back. Maybe there was too much bleach.
