Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port

Abdul was what made this stay memorable. He was warm, friendly, and seemed to notice what we might need before we asked. His recommendations and help with little problems, along with his upbeat attitude, made every interaction feel personal. The location was decent, and our room was clean and comfortable, though nothing fancy. The staff really went out of their way, especially Abdul. Thanks for making our trip better. I’d recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was the best part for the price, and the rate itself seemed okay. The room wasn’t very nice, with several broken items. The bigger problem was the airport shuttle. Weeks before our reservation, we asked on the app how pickup worked and were told to call a number or message when we were ready. At the airport, that number didn’t work, and we tried other numbers without getting through. No one answered our app chat until hours later, when they said traffic had slowed the shuttle. That didn’t explain why we couldn’t reach anyone to ask about it. We had to take an Uber from the airport and feel we should get a partial refund because the shuttle wasn’t available.

We come back to this Hampton Inn whenever we cruise from the Fort Lauderdale cruise port, and it’s never let us down. The airport transfer is easy to arrange, and there’s also a convenient transfer to the cruise port. The hotel is well run, with friendly, courteous staff and very clean rooms and common areas. Breakfast is a substantial buffet and nicely set out. Credit to the management and team.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were kind and accommodating. Alton at the front desk deserves a special mention. He was welcoming and patient with us, while also handling several customers at once in the lobby, including people whose flights had been cancelled at the last minute because of blizzard conditions in the North. He stayed helpful through all of it.
