The hotel is well placed for the airport and cruise terminals. Airport shuttles are free, but a shuttle to the cruise costs about $17-20 per person. Breakfast was really good, and the pool was nice. Mac and Jerimah were extremely helpful and accommodating, though Sonya was very direct and less accommodating. Service could use some work, especially with frequent guests coming and going. When I called to book, I was told the airport shuttle ran 24 hours a day. That isn’t the case. It only runs until noon, so if your flight is later, you’ll have to wait at the airport or find other transportation. Hope that helps future travelers.

The place was clean and comfortable, with a welcoming feel from the moment I arrived. VESNA at the front desk made my stay especially easy and personal. She was kind, helpful, and genuinely caring, and went above and beyond to make sure things were right. I’d recommend this hotel, and I hope you get the chance to meet Vesna. She’s outstanding.

Mack at the front desk was very friendly and gave us useful suggestions for nearby restaurants and transportation. Check-in was easy, and the room was clean and quiet despite being just off a busy street. The traffic did make walking to dinner difficult. We got a ride, though there was a German restaurant within walking distance on the same side of the street. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the night before our cruise. It was a bit pricey for one night, but it met our needs, and they sent a free shuttle to pick us up at the airport.

For around $85 a night, this Holiday Inn Express offered great value and easy access to the airport, cruise port, shopping, restaurants, and beaches. Renovations are underway, and the improvements look promising. My recently renovated room was bright, modern, and well equipped. The bed was a little firm, though the plush pillows helped. There was an in-room safe, ironing setup, and plenty of storage. The fitness center was clean and open, with treadmills, free weights, and what I needed for a full workout. Outdoors, the palm-lined pool and loungers made for a peaceful spot to cool off. The free Express Start breakfast had hot eggs, sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, and plenty of coffee. Nearby, there are Latin and Mediterranean restaurants, shopping, and familiar options within a short walk or drive. Sawgrass Mills is about 20 minutes away, while the Fort Lauderdale beaches and coastal areas are 15-20 minutes away.

Alena and Max gave our family really great help as we figure out cruising for the first time. They helped with everything we needed and then some. The rooms were okay, comfortable but a bit dirty, and the USB chargers didn’t work very well.
