The hotel was sold out the Thursday night we arrived around 9 PM, so there was no other room to move us to. My husband heard Felicia at the front desk tell me that herself. We found six live roaches in the bathroom after checking in. I asked for a full refund and was told they would keep the first night's payment. Property management refused to refund it, and two attempts to get help from guest relations went nowhere. The property has also claimed I was offered another room and turned it down, which isn't what happened. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you care about a pest-free room, decent customer service, or getting your time and money back when something goes wrong. All we got was pests, stress, and a refusal to refund us.

Don't book this place for 10 days. The rooms never get cleaned, the key cards don't work, and each time you have to go back to reception to get one renewed. The woman at the desk never speaks and looks at you like you're dirt. There are so many insects, it feels like the hotel welcomes them. It seems more like an apartment anyway, with people sitting on balconies all day, shouting and smoking weed. Just a terrible place.

The roaches stayed out in the open on the walls, and I tried to pretend I hadn't messed up by skipping the reviews before booking. At least I didn't see any bed bugs, thank the Lord. Did every room come with those badly hidden hoodoo or voodoo symbols painted on the doorways, or did we get a special version? I hated paying that much to sleep there. As long as no demons follow us home, we'll be happy never to return 🙂

I had booked one night for January 23, 2026, back in late November 2025, and received written confirmation. Then, on the morning I was supposed to check in, Hometowne Suites emailed to say they had cancelled it. When I called, they said they were overbooked, so I had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay. If guests have to give 48 hours' notice to cancel, it seems fair that the hotel should have the same obligation. What is a written confirmation supposed to mean otherwise? I won't stay here again, and I'd caution other people about booking it.
