The room itself was nice, and the staff were friendly, but the stay was bottom tier. We checked in 30 minutes late despite arriving on time, and the front desk never told us when the room was ready. We had to go ask, as if they’d forgotten about us. The thermostat was broken, leaving the room at 76 degrees the whole stay. We reported it as soon as we got to the room, then left for our activities, giving them six hours to fix it. When we returned, it still didn’t work. The team had no answer except trying to call in a maintenance man, who we both knew wasn’t coming. We made three calls to the front desk and practically begged for a fan. They made us go get it ourselves. There were no extra pillows or blankets, and no hot water. Such a disappointing stay and a waste of money. You’re better off at a Motel 6. Don’t book here unless it’s a last resort.

We’ve stayed here before while snowtubing at Blue Mountain, and the location is convenient, with lots of stores and food options nearby. Our room was clean and spacious, with a nice full size refrigerator. The stay otherwise wasn’t bad. The pool was small, crowded, and the water was so cloudy that, as a pool owner, I wouldn’t let my kid in. Breakfast had lots of selections, but not enough for the number of guests. The lines for the waffle toaster and pancake machines were so long that by the time you sat down, the food was cold and needed reheating. Complimentary tea and coffee weren’t stocked well. The hotel chocolate was locked in the kitchen, so you couldn’t get any at night. If your kids look forward to it, bring your own. You have to ask for it at breakfast, which I’ve never had to do at a Hilton before. The biggest problem was the shower water. It wasn’t even lukewarm, it was an ice shower. When I told the front desk, I was told there was a boiler issue. No compensation or real apology, just a casual answer that it was being fixed. That’s great, but I was checking out, and the rest of my party couldn’t shower before the drive home.

I’ve just checked into this place, and it’s gross. The couch is torn up, the window shade is taped, and the curtain has an emergency room feel. I stay at Hilton properties because they’re usually reasonably clean and decent, but I’ll skip these Home2 properties from now on.

Housekeeping is poorly run and understaffed, and it’s frustrating. Even though extended stays are supposed to get service every other day, they often skip days or don’t fully clean the room. They say you can request it, but the team either does half a job or misses the next scheduled cleaning day. Everything else about this Hotel was OUTSTANDING.
