Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

We stayed in two connecting rooms with balconies on the marina side. The only facility service we needed was fresh towels. One shower drained slowly, but maintenance sorted it out while we were at the pool. The service was excellent from the beginning. Sean greeted us outside and was a concierge with impressive hospitality and local knowledge. The front desk team, Riviera Bar & Grille, and Aqua Lounge all helped make the stay great, especially Abby. Hotel Maren is good value and well placed for a cruise, family trip, or grown-up getaway.

The hotel is across from the beach, where they provide chair service, and plenty of good restaurants are easy to walk to. Our premium oceanfront room was amazing. Check-in was smooth, and the young woman who handled it was fast, efficient, and full of useful information. Sean brought up our bags, explained the area, and even found us a dining table when we realized the patio was missing one. The room looked clean at first glance, but the carpet had obvious stains and the walls had splashes and spots, so it needs a proper deep clean. Our body wash dispenser was empty when I got in the shower, and the hand soap ran out the day after we arrived. At checkout, the woman barely spoke or greeted us. She printed an incorrect invoice, quickly reprinted it when I pointed that out, and only smiled after we thanked her for fixing it. I'd still be very likely to stay again, though I hope the hotel spruces things up given the price. I'd rate it 4.5 stars if I could.

The room on the sixth floor was accessible and spacious, and my husband had no trouble using his wheelchair. From the balcony we could see the beach, while the full-wall windows looked down over the fifth-floor pool. What really made the trip memorable was Sean. He was always ready to help however he could and went way above and beyond. He gets 5+++ stars from us.

We loved the spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely view, and large bathroom. Having a Starbucks attached to Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort (Maren) was also really convenient. The gym deserves a mention too: it's modern and well equipped, and I was happy to get a workout on a Peloton bike. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. Housekeeping missed cleaning our room one day, even though we were out all day. The location is great, though strong winds meant I couldn't really enjoy the beach or pool this time. I'll have to come back for that.
