The video of the property in the reviews doesn’t match reality. The pool and cabana area looks like trash, there are no curtains or dividers, and now there are only about two cabanas. Construction drilling goes on nonstop, starting before 10 AM and carrying on past 5 PM. If you work from home, you will run into the noise. They’re now working on the balconies too, and this seems like a five-year project. They tell you to expect drilling, and when it happens, it doesn’t stop. The elevators have been broken for over three years. Sometimes only one of the three works, sometimes none. Despite that, the rent goes up every single year, even with construction and lost space, paper-thin walls, and neighbors so easy to hear it feels like you’re in the room with them. Security is nonexistent. The lease even says they aren’t responsible for your safety, and they let anyone upstairs. Front desk staff act like they dislike you, talk on their phones, play music in the hallways, and give dirty looks. They won’t even look up to say hi. I’ve been told “hold on” while someone kept talking to a friend on speakerphone, and eyes have been rolled at me just for asking about a package. I avoid the entrance. It feels like a slap in the face to residents paying luxury prices. Why does admin allow staff to use their phones on the job? The fees are another problem. You pay $100 a month for valet you can’t use, only your guests can, even if you never have any. There’s a “base” water and “base” sewer charge, plus $25 for their electricity. Package lockers cost $30 a month, but there aren’t any. Packages pile up at the front desk; when you ask for one, they roll their eyes and tell you to come back later, and sometimes deliver it to the wrong apartment. If you tour, ask a resident about the construction, elevators, front desk, fees, and package situation.

I’ve lived at Sunrise harbor for about a year, and the apartments and community feel luxurious. The building is over 20 years old, so it has a rustic, charming feel, but it’s been nicely renovated. It’s a short walk to Fortlauderdale beach, sits on the harbor among yachts, and has 360-degree water views from the pool, community spaces, and many units. The staff go out of their way to handle requests professionally. Shout out to the friendly concierge, security and valet team, property leaders Lourdes and Lindsey, and Oscar in maintenance, who fixed my closet door in minutes and was polite and professional. I’ve had the same good experience with the concierge, valet, office, security, and maintenance teams. Residents are friendly and neighborly too. One thing for anyone thinking of moving here: choose your unit carefully. Mine faces the road to the beach, so I constantly hear cars racing over the drawbridge, and the streetlights are bright. If that bothers you, pick a quieter unit.

Good spot for shopping, apartments, and a coffee shop. It’s taking a while to get the painting done, and they need to address the homeless problem near the Fountain. With the new Supreme Court ruling, it should be easy to move them. It’s private property. You can walk to Bonnet, Birch, and the Beach.

Right in the heart of Fort Lauderdale and steps from the beach, Sunrise Harbor has wonderful water views, a marina that can accommodate yachts over 60+, and resort-style amenities. The staff are outstanding, the community is very friendly and secure, and I highly recommend it. Paradise!

I’ve lived in a number of places around the U.S., and Sunrise Harbor is the one that stands out. It’s a beautiful, welcoming, and safe community, and a wonderful place to live and raise a family. We’re very happy here. Lindsay deserves a special mention. She’s attentive, kind, quick to help, and consistently goes above and beyond. Her professionalism and care make a big difference to our experience. Highly recommend!
