Victoria Park Residence

After a 13-hour journey from Sweden, we arrived late and found the after-hours check-in smooth, secure, and idiot-proof. We booked through Hotels.com and paid online. Reception closes at 6 PM, so that easy check-in was much appreciated. Our room had a simple kitchenette and fridge, and the beds were comfortable. The building has a vintage feel and is a little worn around the edges, but it's clean, tidy, and clearly well cared for. At night, the only sound we heard was the AC. Sunny Folk Coffee is just 100 meters away and serves ridiculously good coffee. Good restaurants are about a 300-meter walk, though there are a couple we'd skip, and the mall around 800 meters away has pretty much everything. It's handy for exploring in different directions, and parking was easy. The area felt safe. There's coin-operated laundry, and although we didn't use the pool, it looked nice from a distance. A great spot with character and a relaxed vintage vibe. We liked it and would happily stay again.

Parking made me a little nervous since the hotel is surrounded by apartments and places where you can't park without being towed. Still, we were grateful to find a spot every time we came and went. Great prices and location! We had a few hiccups checking in after hours because our key wasn't activated. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, though, and when we called, someone came back within 10 minutes to help. They were nice and made sure we were all set. The room was more than expected, a cute renovated space with a kitchenette and huge bed. It's a motel with all the feels of a hotel. Checkout was easy, and the lady was so sweet and personable. I've been staying here for several years, and the staff are the best part. Stephanie, the manager, is incredible. She makes guests feel welcome and always greets us with a level of care and hospitality you don't find at big chain hotels. We look forward to seeing her as much as we look forward to vacation. The hotel also has a charming retro style, a wonderful pool and hot tub, a great location, and very competitive prices. It's my go-to in Fort Lauderdale.

The location couldn't be better, in a safe area with lots of shops around and a 20 minute walk to the beach. My sister and I felt welcome because all the staff were so friendly and kind, and went out of their way for us. The room was clean, and the outdoor pool area felt like a resort. I'd definitely stay again.
