Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Fort Madison

A clean, tidy room and newer, nice facilities. Breakfast was powdered eggs, brown-and-serve sausage, and waffles you make yourself. It’s an affordable, good option when you’re passing through and need a place to sleep.

The 3rd shift front desk/breakfast attendant was especially friendly and polite, and there was a good range at breakfast, including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, and fruit. I also liked that there were a few things for sale by the front desk. My room was super clean, had all the amenities, and the bed was comfy, one of my best hotel sleeps. This was my first stay at Cobblestone(Fort Madison), and everything from arrival through checkout was fantastic. I’ll definitely stay here again! 😊

We were in town for a funeral, as we may have been on our last visit, and the lobby was a comfortable place to sit and talk with family. We walked out the back door to the Mexican restaurant next door. It was good, with decent food. The staff were very helpful, including when we had to switch to the handicap room at the last second so my 89-year-old aunt could get into bed. They do have a cot that can only go in that room. The first night it was very uncomfortable, but she did much better the second night after we folded a couple of extra-thick white blankets under the sheet for padding. The beds are incredibly high. I told the staff a ladder seemed more appropriate than a step stool, especially since that stool step is about 9 inches and people of any age could have trouble with it. The bed itself was comfortable, the breakfast was not bad, and the room was nice. I’ve stayed at several hotels in town while visiting family, and this is the best one, for sure. It’s in really good shape right now. I hope they keep it that way.

We stayed two nights and had an awesome experience. The common areas were roomy and comfortable, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was pretty standard, but there was plenty of space and we weren’t squeezed into a tiny room. Our room was very clean and up to date, and everyone was friendly. I’d highly recommend staying here.
