Tru By Hilton Fort Mill, SC

For a short work trip, this place had everything we needed and a bit more. It was quiet and clean, with a decent breakfast, and the location was convenient to lots of things. Laura was very helpful and made sure our stay went well.

What stood out was how happy and helpful the staff seemed. They looked like they truly enjoyed their work and their coworkers. The room was spotless, and the whole hotel impressed me too. I have family nearby and visit often, so I'll absolutely stay here again. I'd recommend it.

My first stay at a Tru by Hilton was disappointing, even as a Hilton Lifetime Diamond VIP Hilton Honors member. Maybe other “Trus” are better, but this one didn't feel up to Hilton standards, in my opinion, and was much worse than the Hampton Inn brand. I found the King bed room cramped and the bed uncomfortable. The bathroom was poorly apportioned, with squeeze bottles for the shower shampoo and only two towels for two people. I had checked in through the app and requested a feather-free room, but the room wasn't feather-free. I also had to go to the front desk to get my waters, which defeats the point of checking in on the app. Breakfast was weak too: hard boiled eggs that wouldn't shell properly, a yogurt machine that served dessert frozen yogurt, and bitter coffee.

I'd give this stay 10 stars if I could. Everything went well from check-in through check-out, and my room stayed very clean throughout. I liked that the hotel is pet friendly and close to the highway. Janet was so sweet and attentive. They sure hit the lottery with her.
