1 Island Hideaway

The pool and hot tub in the backyard were a lovely place to relax after the beach, and Fort Myers Beach was only a three-minute walk away. We spent plenty of time on the white sand and enjoying the ocean views. The unit felt spacious and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable, homey feel and a touch of elegance. It was spotless and had the kitchen basics and cozy linens we needed. Rhonda was a welcoming host who clearly put thought into the details and helped make the stay easy. We loved our time at #1 Island Hideaway and are already looking forward to coming back.

We had a great stay at this Ft. Myers Beach place, and my wife and I plan to return with family next time. The owners have made it a wonderful spot, with comfortable beds, a kitchen stocked for cooking or BBQ, and a pool, jacuzzi, and fire pit for the evenings. The beach is three minutes away, and downtown is just a few minutes away too. It's a little gem.

The condo itself was very nice, but we couldn't use the hot tub because it was broken, and the pool was ice cold. The dishwasher was broken too. The owner said Booking.com had made a mistake and told us we'd need to move to another unit for our last night, or we couldn't get a reservation to stay. On Thursday she texted that we had to move by Friday at noon, a day earlier than expected, so we rearranged all our family plans. Later that evening, she texted that she'd gotten the day wrong and we could stay after all. We spent Friday night there but left a day early, losing $300.

Stay away from their marathon condo. It was filthy, with torn furniture, a urine-stained bed, dust several inches thick, and dirty, stained throw rugs. There were dead bugs behind the bedroom nightstand too. The owner stopped responding after charging a lot, plus another $475 for one extra person and extra linens. We had only six towels for three people over ten days, and had to pay to wash them. Worst vacation ever.
