Estero Island Beach Club

We spent two weeks here, split between two rooms. They were clean, which mattered most to us, though both the rooms and beds are starting to feel dated and could use some updating. We made use of the free grills one evening for steaks, and spent time by the pool playing games and chatting with other guests. One pool is heated and the other isn't, but we enjoyed both, along with plenty of gorgeous sunsets. The location is a big plus, about half a mile from Town Square's restaurants, bars, and shops. We had a really nice stay and would recommend giving it a try.

The owners are very nice, and we had a room in a wonderful location. A few things could be better: there's no daily housekeeping, just one very old elevator, and checkout is at 9 a.m., earlier than the usual 10 or 11. The rules also aren't enforced consistently.

The rooms feel more like little apartments than hotel rooms, and the whole place has a cozy, family feel instead of that big-chain resort atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The front office puts on a few activities during the week, like root beer floats, Bloody Marys, and ice cream sundaes. Love this place.

The balcony windows look out on a gorgeous view, and the hotel itself was beautiful and well cared for. There are lots of other families around, so it seems like a smart place to bring kids and meet up with people. I highly recommend it. The one thing I didn't care for was security locking the doors after 9 p.m.
